Suits, dresses, kaftans, coats, duvets and curtains. Every piece is examined before treatment, cleaned according to its fabric, then reshaped — not simply washed and folded.
A garment is not a piece of flat linen. It has a lining, interfacing, seams under tension, sometimes embroidery or metallic thread. Cleaning it properly means first identifying it — fabric, lining, trimmings — and then choosing the treatment accordingly. A piece run on the wrong programme cannot be put right.
That is why every item arriving at IT’s Clean is examined before it is treated, not sorted on the fly.
What we handle
- Suits and jackets — cleaning then reshaping, the step that gives a shoulder and a lapel their line back.
- Dresses and occasion wear, including beaded or embroidered pieces that need separate handling.
- Kaftans and takchitas — silk, brocade, gold thread, sfifa braid and akaad buttons. These are often valuable pieces, sometimes handed down, and they will not take standard handling.
- Coats and winter jackets, wool, cashmere and lined pieces.
- Shirts, finished at the collar and cuffs.
- Duvets, blankets and pillows, which few domestic machines can handle properly.
- Curtains and sheers, whose main risk is shrinkage if handled badly.
Kaftans, and why they deserve separate care
A kaftan brings together just about every difficulty a garment can have: fine fabric, metallic thread that tarnishes on contact with certain products, hand-laid embroidery, a lining that behaves differently from the outer cloth, and often buttons that will take no mechanical action at all.
We handle them separately, after examination, protecting the sensitive areas. And where a piece carries a risk we judge too high, we tell you beforehand rather than attempting it and handing back a damaged garment. It is more honest, and on an irreplaceable piece it is the only defensible position.
Stains: what to tell us
Point out the stains and above all where they came from. A grease stain, a wine stain and a perfume stain are not treated the same way, and a stain invisible today can surface in the heat of processing if nobody has flagged it.
Two pieces of advice that prevent most irreversible damage: do not rub, and do not apply shop-bought stain remover before bringing the item in. Most garments that cannot be saved were treated at home first.
Collection and delivery
You can drop items off, or we agree a collection and delivery at your address in Tangier and the surrounding area. For companies, hotels and restaurants this can fold into the visit already scheduled for linen — staff uniforms included.

Do you handle kaftans and takchitas?
Yes, and separately from everything else. These pieces combine fine fabrics, metallic thread, embroidery and fragile buttons; they are examined before treatment and the sensitive areas are protected. If we judge the risk on a piece too high, we tell you before doing anything rather than hand back a damaged garment.
I have already used a shop-bought stain remover — is that a problem?
Do tell us when you hand the item in. Many stain removers set the stain or strip the colour irreversibly, and knowing changes entirely how we handle the piece. It is not always fixable, but it is far more often salvageable if we are warned.
Do you collect and deliver to the door?
Yes, in Tangier and the surrounding area, on an agreed slot. You can also bring items in yourself. For companies and hotels, collection can be added to the visit already scheduled for linen.
Do you clean duvets and curtains?
Yes. These are bulky items that domestic machines handle badly: not enough water to rinse the filling, and drying that is often incomplete, leaving a musty smell. Curtains also need watching for shrinkage depending on the fabric.
